Kent Miller, percussionist

A true child of the 50’s and 60’s, Kent spent most of his childhood and adolescence playing drums and singing rock & roll and rhythm & blues in the Columbia area of central Missouri.  Later, as lead vocalist, Kent fronted the bands LTB (Lemon Tree Brigade), Iron Horse and Circle Star, adding flute, auxiliary percussion and harmonica to his repertoire.

Kent is a graduate of the University of Missouri where he earned a B.S. in Music with an instrumental emphasis on flute and percussion, and a Masters degree in Musicology.  He has lived in the Cape Girardeau area for the past 25 years and is best known in the community as “Mr. Miller” or  “Coach Miller” being a teacher and coach in the public schools for most of that time.  This is his first regular gig in Southeast Missouri and he’s eating it up.
